Hidden Cape Town is an upcoming podcast about the forgotten, unknown and sometimes deliberately covered up aspects of the Mother City, Cape Town, South Africa. It’s hosted and produced independently by Natalie Wilson.

The first season is currently in production.

Natalie required a simple, legible and memorable logo that would adapt well to a square format for application on podcast artwork and social media. It also needed to be flexible to work in both colour and black and white palettes.

The logo is a type-driven, word-game solution that isn’t immediately obvious at first glance. Upon further inspection, and guided by the soundwave-inspired holding shape, the full name becomes clear and readable.
